FIVE OF SWORDS

A knave has captured the swords of his adversaries, who depart in dejection. Storm clouds fill the sky. The Querent may he either the conquered or the conqueror, depending on the cards next to this one in the spread.

Divinatory Meaning:
Failure, defeat. Degradation. Conquest of others. Unfairness, slander, cruelty, cowardliness.

Reversed:
Beware of pride. There is a chance of loss or defeat. Attendance at a funeral. Empty victory. Sorrow. Weakness.
