This is my own perspective and it doesn’t need to fit with your own experiences, your own beliefs or knowledge.

Spiritual guides are non-physical entities or energies that offer guidance and support on our spiritual and personal development journey. These guides are perceived as higher beings, angels, light guides, earth spirits, or ancestors. They can have an energetic connection with us and provide wisdom, inspiration, and protection.
There are several ways to contact spiritual guides. Here are a few of them:
Meditation
Meditation is an excellent method to invite spiritual guidance. By quieting the mind and focusing on the breath or a specific question or intention, we can enter a state of receptivity and await messages or the presence of our spiritual guide.
Prayer
Prayer is a way to communicate with spiritual guides and seek guidance. You can formulate a prayer expressing your desire to connect with your guide and receive guidance and wisdom.
Taking notes, channeling through Automatic Writing
Through free writing or automatic writing techniques, you can attempt to connect with your spiritual guide. Allow your hand to move freely on the paper and see what messages or information come through. If you’re just starting, don’t be disappointed if what you write initially doesn’t make sense or seems like scribbles. Practice this activity daily, and the results will gradually become clearer and more intelligible to you.
Intuition and Signs
Spiritual guides can also communicate through intuition and signs in the surrounding environment. Pay attention to signs, synchronicities, or the feelings you experience, and understand that these may be messages, impulses, or directions from your spiritual guide.
Ceremonies and/or Rituals
In some cultures and spiritual traditions, specific ceremonies or rituals can be used to establish a connection with spiritual guides. These practices may involve dance, song, the use of sacred plants, or other traditional customs.
It’s important to mention that experiences of contacting spiritual guides are highly personal and individual. What works for one person may not work as well for another. It’s essential to cultivate patience, openness, and trust in yourself and your own process of connecting with spiritual guides.
Here are a few of my suggestions to help you:
- Avoid insisting or projecting expectations on how this contact or communication should unfold.
- Avoid anxiety or nervousness before attempting to connect with spiritual guides.
- If you encounter difficulties, mentally contact your divine self and ask for help or assistance.
- Often, contact and communication occur when we are in a state of rest, during sleep, or in intense meditative states where the analytical mind takes a backseat.
- Do not insist on knowing the names of your spiritual guides. They have valid reasons for withholding this information. One reason is the risk of idolization. It’s easy to fall into the trap of idolizing, which is why most spiritual guides do not disclose specific names as we understand them.
- The most important suggestion I can offer is to trust yourself, trust your ability to accomplish everything you set out to do, and eliminate any fears or limiting beliefs. I’ll let you in on a secret: spiritual guides communicate with and support you constantly, every day, 24/7 – 365 days a year, through various means. However, we consciously or unconsciously limit our perception of these capabilities through fears or limiting beliefs.
Methods through which you can be directly contacted by your spiritual guides:
- Specific situations, thoughts, feelings, interactions with other people (including arguments or conflicts that may guide you in a certain direction).
- Dreams, repetitive numbers, signs, discussions, and the list goes on.
Can guides choose not to respond or interact with you, and can you be aware of it?
Yes, there are situations where, according to your soul’s contract, conscious contact or interaction with guides does not aid in soul development, and therefore, they will not directly contact you. It’s for your own good.
